Henry gets cancelled for Nicolas Cage's Dream Scenario (currently available via Max). Warning: Minor spoilers!
[00:00:00] 98. Let's get to Dream Scenario which is currently available on Max to stream
[00:00:07] it's done by A24, it's directed by Christopher Borgli, stars Nicolas Cage,
[00:00:14] Lily Bird, Julianne Nicholson, Jessica Clement, David Klein, two others and the
[00:00:23] synopsis is an ordinary family man finds his life turned upside down when
[00:00:28] strangers suddenly start seeing him in their dreams.
[00:00:32] So I remember when this one first came out people like oh this is one of
[00:00:36] Nicolas Cage's best movie in years it's a great A24 movie like it's really
[00:00:42] wacky and out there and bizarre you got to see it and I just was waiting for it
[00:00:45] to come on Max and it just did recently. It is one that like you really have to
[00:00:51] be in the right mood for it is really weird and strange and I think
[00:00:55] effectively so for the most part I think it's probably one of the best takes on
[00:01:00] cancel culture and celebrity culture and the different sides of being a
[00:01:05] celebrity or at least in the public eye because not to spoil anything too much
[00:01:10] but it's basically like he's going about his normal life as a family man a
[00:01:16] teacher and then people suddenly start saying hey you were in my dream last
[00:01:21] night and I don't even know you and then he out of nowhere becomes like a
[00:01:25] worldwide sensation he's like the coolest guy in the world is like oh my
[00:01:28] god how'd you do this like you're so famous and all these other things and
[00:01:32] people want to do marketing deals with them and all this stuff and appear on
[00:01:36] interviews and news shows and all that stuff and for a while he's like the
[00:01:40] coolest guy in the world and very famous and then suddenly people start saying
[00:01:46] hey this dream happened and you like abused me you hurt me you scared me
[00:01:51] this that and the other and so then people suddenly start turning on him and
[00:01:56] even though he hasn't done anything wrong because he didn't want any of this
[00:02:00] to happen and so I think the movie does really do well at explaining and
[00:02:06] showcasing how regardless of what somebody did whether it's a true thing
[00:02:11] or if it's an accusation if you get accused of something in the public eye
[00:02:15] basically people for the most part turn on you you know when somebody's career
[00:02:19] can be over like that and so there's always that fear of someone again it
[00:02:24] could be true it could be false saying something about you and then everybody
[00:02:28] knows about it and so I think how it presents that and all the different
[00:02:33] scenarios in that way it's very very on point to me and the effects it can have
[00:02:41] on someone in the public eye and how your life can change and like there's
[00:02:45] stalkers and people who break into their homes to just have a piece of their
[00:02:50] belongings like almost like a mother in a way and so there's a lot of
[00:02:54] interesting very creative elements to this movie that I was not expecting
[00:02:58] it's really really funny at times but also has good drama good emotion
[00:03:03] Nicolas Cage is amazing love Nicolas Cage across the board this is definitely
[00:03:07] one of his best as of late both his performance and just overall quality of
[00:03:12] the movie there is one scene I think I talked about on my letterbox review where
[00:03:16] I don't want to spoil it because it's really hysterical I was like dying
[00:03:20] laughing I was crying but there's a scene with a young girl like a college
[00:03:25] age girl that he meets somewhere and there is one moment that is like perfect
[00:03:30] comedic timing like it is so funny and that is just one small moment of many
[00:03:37] that I loved and I think the stuff with I can't remember the brand maybe it's
[00:03:42] like Sprite or something like the office marketing team that he meets I think
[00:03:47] that's all very interesting and then how people then see him differently when
[00:03:51] something happens and people start speaking out all that stuff and how when
[00:03:56] he tries to defend himself it doesn't really work he actually makes it worse
[00:04:01] sometimes so I think there are so many elements that really do hit way harder
[00:04:06] than a lot of other movies recently that have tried to tackle cancel culture I
[00:04:11] think this is by far the most creative out of any of them so
[00:04:15] that is a heavy four out of five
[00:04:19] McDonald's presents burger reviews by Hamburglar
[00:04:24] today's review the hotter juicier classic burgers mr. Hamburglar
[00:04:29] he said of all the McDonald's burgers I've ever hamburger these are the hottest
[00:04:35] juiciest and tastiest
[00:04:38] Hamburglar is on the rise get caught with a medium double cheeseburger meal for $6
[00:04:43] price and participation may vary promotion pricing may be lower than meal
[00:04:46] price comparison to prior classic burgers
