Minions Short Film. Henry tackles Illumination Entertainment's 2015 animated short film, Competition (available on YouTube).
[00:00:00] 43. Let's get to an animated short film by Illumination Entertainment of Despicable Me,
[00:00:08] Fame, and Sing, Fame. Also they just did Migration I believe. But this one is a Minions short
[00:00:17] film. It's called Competition. It's directed by Kyle Balda and Julian Soray. It stars
[00:00:25] Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud who are the Minions. And the synopsis is two Minions get
[00:00:32] in a competition. Short and sweet. This one is on YouTube. It might be on Netflix and
[00:00:38] some other streaming sites and like a bundle. I'm not sure but it is on YouTube for easy
[00:00:43] access. As I've talked about a lot on the show before, I love the Minions. I love
[00:00:48] Despicable Me. There's just something about the Minions that I like find hysterical.
[00:00:53] I cannot deny it. I have no shame. I love the world of Despicable Me. I would happily watch
[00:00:59] all the short films which I basically have. I love the Despicable Me franchise. The Minions
[00:01:04] prequels like I'm there for sure. So sorry for anyone who's rolling their eyes. I
[00:01:09] love it. Can't help it. And this is one that I saw maybe in the last year or
[00:01:15] so when I went on a Minions kick. Just wanted some more extra content there and I can't
[00:01:22] think of all of them off the top of my head. There are quite a few Minions short films.
[00:01:26] This one is seems to be one of the more popular ones with most and it follows these two Minions
[00:01:36] who are working in Gru's Factory I'm guessing and they start getting competitive and it
[00:01:41] starts with them throwing crumped up sheets of paper into a trash can and then it goes
[00:01:48] to them boxing and riding rockets. And it's very much just like increasing the level of
[00:01:54] ridiculousness in terms of what they're trying to one up each other on. And it's very fun.
[00:01:59] It's only three minutes ish but it's very enjoyable. If you don't like the Minions
[00:02:05] I don't know if you'll have a huge interest maybe you will give it a shot. It's again
[00:02:09] it's only three minutes. It looks really good. It came out in 2015. The Minions
[00:02:14] are hilarious in it. I like the ending where things sort of go boom and there's a bit of
[00:02:20] a reset. I really like that and how it ends. So if you got a few minutes to kill if you
[00:02:24] need to laugh if you need to smile I think you could do a whole heck of a lot worse
[00:02:28] than the Minions and then competition and if you like this one I would check out a
[00:02:34] lot of the others. There's some that are pretty enjoyable they're not all amazing
[00:02:38] but there's some good humor and fun to be had there. So that one is a four out of five.
