Marvel Short Film. Henry tackles the MCU short film, Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter (available on Disney+).
[00:00:00] 40. Let's get to the first film in the Marvel One-Shot series which is Marvel One-Shot Agent Carter from 2013 and this one is on Disney Plus as are all the other one shots. And in case you are unfamiliar these short films are usually
[00:00:20] only like three or four minutes to maybe 15 like this one is about 15 minutes and it's basically just meant to fill in little pieces of the MCU in terms of character backstory and things like that that might fill in the pieces of
[00:00:33] the bigger films, feature films or shows. And as I've said on the other shows these short films don't really appeal to me all that much but I'm still curious I still like these characters I'll still watch a short film there's nothing
[00:00:46] against it there's nothing lesser just I don't immediately seek them out and first off the big thing not even talking about this film is I think the Agent Carter show which is on Disney Plus as well is one of the most underrated
[00:00:59] pieces of the MCU. I love that show so much I'm so sad that I think it got canceled or maybe they're just gonna do two seasons of it not sure but I love Hayley Atwell she's great and I highly recommend watching that show because I
[00:01:17] went in not expecting anything and I thought it was awesome. But aside from that this was the very first one like I mentioned and there's been a good handful of them I'm not sure exactly how many but there are a good few
[00:01:29] if you're curious and this one is basically about her sort of big break in working for S.H.I.E.L.D. and it follows her getting a tip about a mission through this communication line and not having anyone else around to tell her
[00:01:47] no because she's been facing a lot of sexism and misogyny in the workplace by her boss and she's like well screw it I'll go on this mission I'll show them what's what and then she ends up doing a great job and she gets a call from
[00:02:00] Stark and so on so forth not to spoil it but it's like 10 minutes long it's not really spoilers there and I liked it I thought it was well done love the look of Agent Carter that period I'm immediately just drawn to on a personal
[00:02:15] level and I really like that character. The main action sequence the mission part of the film is very good and there's a good scene where she breaks into this room and she's standing there silhouetted in the doorway looks
[00:02:29] amazing and then there's also great costume design piece with a gas mask a guy wearing a gas mask and then her wearing a gas mask love that so there's nothing amazing in this nor I doubt is there anything amazing in any of them
[00:02:42] they're just sort of meant to be little side dishes to the movies and everything so nothing offensive about it not amazing not one I would ever really feel the need to rewatch it's not necessary to have these but if they're there I'll
[00:02:56] watch them so if you got some time to kill check it out if you like Agent Carter definitely watch this show but do watch this one as well so that one is a four out of five
